If you are interested in Indigenous cultures, “Introduction to the Tłı̨chǫ culture and language for francophones” is for you,
whether you are Indigenous or not.
This course reflects and expresses the culture and language of the tłı̨chǫ people living in the Northwest Territories (NWT) and consists of:
Throughout the courses, you will learn how to greet, introduce yourself, and talk about clothing and food in one of the nine official Indigenous languages of the NWT.
Offered in French and in Tłı̨chǫ Yatıı̀, the 36-hour course will be offered over the span of 12 weeks, from September 12 to December 5, 2022. The course will take place in person for those who live in Yellowknife, as well as virtually via Zoom.
This course is offered in partnership with the Université de l’Ontario français (UOF). At the end of your training, you will have the possibility of obtaining credits from the UOF upon request.

Tuition fees must be submitted with the completed registration form. You can pay by cash or cheque (payable to Collège nordique francophone). Online registrations must be paid by credit card only. The Collège nordique francophone will charge a $35 fee for a returned cheque.
We will confirm your registration by email prior to the start of the session. Please check your inbox and junk mail folders and add us to your contact list. If you do not have access to email, your registration will be confirmed by phone.
Collège nordique francophone reserves the right to cancel a course if a minimum of registrations is not met. These decisions are made two business days prior to the start date. A full refund will be issued if the course is cancelled or if we are unable to offer the course you have chosen.
